Hi Jose. Michele here. Welcome to the list. Hope you really get something out of being on it.
I have been a long-time Classic user and decided to transplant to an Mpower without first buying the latest Keysoft upgrade, mainly because the Mpower provides much better functionality, but also because after the next upgrade, HumanWare will no long provide upgrades for the Classic model, but will simply work on improving the PK and Mpower models. I therefore think that a transplant is the more sensible and economical option in the long-term. BTW, list members, if I'm incorrect as far as the number of upgrades which HumanWare will be providing to Classic users, you are welcome to correct me. Either way, enjoy your BN. God bless! My name is Jose, and I recently got a used braille note classic, and really like it. Ironically, my very first computer was a Keynote PC + ... my how keysoft has evolved. Anyway, I'd like to hear about people's experiences with both the classic and M-power using the latest Keysoft. As my unit has 5.1 and no remaining SMA counts, I'm debating whether to pay the 7 or $800 to upgrade to 7.2, or to just transplant. Obviously the M-power has it's advantages, processor and connection-wise, but I'd also like to know what people think of 7.2's functionality on the classic. Thanks in advance. Jose. P.S. Does anyone have an idea of what's to come in keysoft 8, or whatever the next version will be called? ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote -- No virus found in this incoming message.
