The wireless routers typically have several ports on them to connect wired-in computers and in addition provide wireless connectivity so you don't need to connect all the existing computers wirelessly. Typically I believe most routers only have four ports to connect PCs, and can handle up to 255 PCs wirelessly. You could get the low-power Ethernet adapter for the Mpower with a ruggedized cable, or if you get a wireless router, one of the wireless cards and download your mail every morning to read it on your commute.
