Hello there:
I should note that I tested this on the home network and got no where as
well. I will try what you suggested, but I don't know if it'll work or not.
thanks for your help.
Chris Reagan
P.S. I'm new to the braille note and internet access so this is new
territory for me and I am afraid to experiment and mess something up.

Don,
Good advice but I know as a novice still, that sometimes it is hard to
understand "how" to experiment.
I have just now come to a better understanding of the whole smtp thing
through the discussions on this list and a podcast or two. When you are
new to the BN, or fairly new (I have had my BN for little more than a year
and still know so little about many things), that it is hard to understand
what parts to experiment with.
Connecting to my home router took me over six months to get right and I
honestly have no idea what item it was that I changed that actually made
it work. I am just now getting some what confident with wifi in order to
use it more frequently.
I also thank the person that recommended ideas for printing a document and
faxing while on the road. I may have to try this now.
Cindy

Cindy,
I really like your approach of experimenting. I think many of
these issues could be handled by the person with the problem if
they would experiment a bit.
For those of us not in a particular situation, it's hard to give
specific help at times since isp's and such do differ quite a bit.
So, don't be afraid to experiment with different connect
techniques. Many probably won't work, but you just might stumble
across a solution as Cindy has done here.
