Hi, Michele!
When you lift the lid up on the printer, it serves as
the paper tray for holding approximately 20 to 30
sheets of paper. The printer grabs it and feeds it out
the front of the machine. Make sure you have it fa4r
enough from the edge of the surface the printer is
setting on so that the paper does not fall off in the
floor.

It can use either color, or black and white. I mostly
use black and white. It's a wonderful little printer

Michele, try the Canon BubbleJet BJC85. It has USB and
Infrared. I use
mine with the Infrared port, myself. And it's just
about the size of
the BrailleNote itself.
