If you need IM capabilities, you can add a Mobile Speak Pocket device to the
mix and use your BrailleNote to access Pocket PC versions of AIM, Skype,
etc.

Subject: [Braillenote] Instant Messenger for the BrailleNote
I've noticed that the BrailleNote lacks an I M client,
while other note takers do. I can understand, given
the BrailleNote's primary market of the classroom,
that an I M client wouldn't be given much praise, but
I'd still like to see one. What i'm thinking is
something along the lines of Trillian for Windows. For
those of you unfamiliar, Trillian is a 3-in-1 client
that allows AIM Yahoo and MSN messengers to be
integrated into a single program. Any thoughts on
this? I honestly think that this "KeyChat" idea would
be a great one for those who need to speak to work
partners in terms of projects or just want to relax or
a while and chat with friends.
