a logitec soundcard mic that should work with the bn is about twenty
dollars. it has a standand is high quality and has an off switch.

If you record onto a CF or SD card you can record for hours and hours
depending on the size of your card and the desired quality of your
recording.
I find that recordings using the internal microphone tend to be too noisy
with braille cells clicking and that bothersome hum, at least on my unit.
My advise would be to research microphones and purchase a decent one with
a mike stand so that you can record your speeches without lots of
bothersome extra noises.
Many months ago this list discussed microphones and an inexpensive
cordless mike was discussed that many purchased. Perhaps someone will
send you a link to that company's webpage.
