service reset, with the reset and record buttons held down? That's all

When I try to re set it doesn't seem to reset properly. When I
perform the jkl reset the [clock needs to be reset] does not come
up.
I hope I've explained all this in enough detail. If anyone can
shed some light i'd be very grateful.
