Also, Joseph, remember that you can hook up to various
printers with the mPower. The PK does not have that
capability which is a real minus.

Subject: re: [Braillenote] mPower BT18 VS PK
Hi Rob,
I've seen PK before on CSUN conferences and
found that it is very small. In terms of
size, mPower is larger than the PK. The PK
is like the size of a modern Pocket PC,
whereas MPower is the size of a handheld PC.
In order to really see them at real life
situations, you'll need to see them firsthand
at the trade shows and assistive technology
conferences.
In terms of technical specs, MPower is a bit
faster than PK (400 MHz versus 416 MHz). The
memory in mPower is 64 MB RAM/128 MB Flash,
whereas in PK it is 40 MB RAM/16 MB Flash.
For intended market: PK is designed for busy
professionals who wants to have a feel of
Pocket PC with the familiar KeySoft
interface, whereas mPower is designed for
ordinary and power users who want more
functionality on a small device.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] mPower BT18 VS PK
I was curious if anyone has had the
opportunity to
work with, or use in depth, both the
BrailleNote BT 18
mPower and PK, and I was curious about the
ups and
downs of the units, besides the price points
and the
fact that the PK lacks certain features of
the mPower,
such as the FM Radio, Eloquence, and the 56k
Modem.
Thanks in advance for your help.
