Alex,
No, ActiveSync is not gone at all. It is now called Sync Center were nice name) and can be found in Control Panel as opposed to a add-on software, and syncing feature is built into the OS itself, so ActiveSync add-on is not needed.
Cheers,
Joseph

As far as I know, WM6 is based on CE 6, as KS
is based on CE 4.2.
CE 5 has new stuff (more processes, better
RAM management,
increased bluetooth functionality) that would
do the BN a world
of good. Vista seems like it will be the
problem, though. If
ActiveSync will not work, all of those of us
who use it are
stuck. I guess it will be a patch party at
HW. <smile

Have a great day,
Alex

Isn't mobile 6 the same thing as CE 6?

Aside from that, it sounded like 6 is what
will work with the new
Vista and
thought this might be the way the BN would go
in order to work
under Vista
based on the information that was recently
posted to the list
about active
sync.

Just curious,
Cindy

I read about this; there is no advantage to
the BN. It basically
just makes things look cooler on the device.
Keysoft still only
needs to go to Windows CE 5 (mobile 6 is
based on CE 6, I am
pretty sure). I know that this was not your
point, but I figured
I would toss it out there--as far as I can
tell, CE 5 is the
biggest thing we should look for, not CE 6.

Have a great day,
Alex

I apologize if this has been discussed in the
thread regarding
the phone; I
did not follow that thread.

Since the braillenote runs on the platform I
thought we might
find this
information useful. It is taken from USA
Today Tech News 2/8/07.
