Dear Terry and the entire list,
Windows Vista is the next Windows operating
system from Microsoft that replaces Windows
XP. The code name for this product was
Longhorn. It is based on Windows NT kernel
with NT version 6.0.6000.
It has many new features, including instant
search from everywhere - from Start Menu to
Windows Explorer to Control Panel, improved
security features, and many more. Currently,
Window-Eyes and Hal supports Vista, and a
version of JAWS is planned which will support
Vista.
As I've outlined on my cautionary message,
ActiveSync no longer works on Vista. Hope
this statement may clarify your question. If
you have further queries, write to me off
list so I can tell you more (this is not the
place to discuss it).
Cheers,
Joseph PddS. For more info on Windows Vista,
just Google it online and you'll be able to
find more info.

Joseph;
Can you define windows vista. This is the
first time I have ever heard
of it. Is it a program for the computer?

Dear list,
If you are going to upgrade to Windows Vista,
please read this warning
carefully:
I've ran Windows Vista Upgrade Adviser and
received the following
regarding
ActiveSync:
This program will not run under Windows
Vista.
This basically means that ActiveSync will not
work on Windows Vista.
Instead, there is a utility called Sync
Center that replaces this
capability
(I haven't tried it yet).
This is just a cautionary note.
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. Andy, do you have any opinion or
any word from Microsoft
regarding ActiveSync under Vista?
