Hi Rob and others.
This is an
interesting
suggestion. If the
particulars can be
worked out and
managed, I'd be all
for it, but I'm not
sure how viable it
is. It's certainly
worth mentioning to
the HW staff.
Cheers!
Michele

Subject:
[Braillenote] Solar
powered backup
battery for the
BrailleNote
Depending on the
workmanship
requirements,
voltage of
the battery, and
other technical
mumbo jumbo, does
anyone else think
it'd be interesting
to have a
solar-powered backup
battery? I heard
talk about a
back up battery with
fear of it being
bumped. My idea
is to have the
system take up the
CF card slot (which
would be a problem
with the BrailleNote
PK but on the
BrailleNote &
VoiceNote mPower
units you'd still
have
room for storage),
but this way it'd be
securely held
in place and not at
risk for bumping,
and you wouldn't
need to worry about
limited time because
the solar
cells would both
power, and, charge
the battery of the
BrailleNote. Any
thoughts on this?
