Can anyone please tell me how to do the equivalent of enter with dot 4 on the QT to raise the master volume?

Thank you in advance.

Betsy

Steve,

There are a few things that you can try checking to increase the volume of your stremaing audio. First is like Joseph said and pressing enter with dot 4, which increases the master volume. You can increase the media player's volume by pressing enter with dots 4-6 and to decrease enter with dots 1-3. You might also check to see what the volume is under review voice settings, to get there you will press enter with backspace plus r from where in KeySoft and make sure the speech volume is set to 5.

You might also try getting louder headsets, these also make a significant difference, as you can tell there are a permutation of factors that are involved when dealing with the volume level.

Hi there,
Press ENTER with dot 4 to raise "master volvme." Speech volume is the master vrlume, so raising it to 32 will raise Media Player's volume as well. There is a known problem with playing streaming audio. It is not related to Flash Disk or any storage media. Rather, it basically means that there is no more room under RAM to store buffer for streaming audio. This is common problem that the list has seen (Andy Riden has commented on this matter earlier; he might give you further details).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] problem with media
player

Hi folks, can anyone tell me if I can solve
my problem or whether
this is a need for Humanware to upgrade the
media player.

Earlier this afternoon I was able to listen
to the February
edition of Soundings on my Mpower BT using
the Media Player and
the internet on my BT Broadband wireless
connection (I have a
Netgear wireless rkuter which works very well
with my Mpower!).
The reception was clear enough for me (I am
deafblind and wear
digital hearing aids). I use headphones anc
the volume at its
highest setting on the Mpower and the headset
is only just loud
enough for me to hear, so is there any way
that Humanware could
raise the volume level? Secondly, I wished to
listen to another
magazine via the internet and the Media
Player bus I get a
message saying memory ran out. Is there a
way I can still listen
to this magazine? As well as the 128mb hard
disk which does have
some files on it which I dom't really wans to
move, I have also a
5mb pcmcia card which slots into the side of
my machine. Would
this help in solving the menory problem, or
is this a matter for
further memory upgrade? Humanware please deal
with this if
necessary?

Cheers, Steve
