Well you're right, I was in fact purchasing 7.2 along with the sma for 8.0. The problem I'm having is that it's taking this amount of time to post the product key for 7.2 to my account, and as I indicated in my previous message, I was told that I happen to call in at a time that Humanware wasn't able to take any new orders yet. And just for clarification, my unit is a voicenote m power. Ultimately, I guess I'm left with no other alternative but to wait this thing out, but in the mean time, I was just wondering if anyone else out here on the list has had similar experiences? Thanks for your reply. Isaih

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] placing order for KS 7.2 & 8.0/was
just curious

I've never had a problem when I've called in to place an order,
as they have
always taken my credit or debit card info, and then ran things
through
within a few days. I can't, though, say that it has always been
the next
day.

But, you talk about purchasing 7.2 and 8.0? And, I'm wondering
if that is
really something you are able to do. I mean, although I
certainly could be
wrong, but I was thinking you would have to upgrade to the
current version,
and then purchase your SMA. To try and further clarify what I am
trying to
say, if KS 7.2 hadn't yet been released, then you could purchase
a SMA that
would include 7.2 and 8.0. But, once KS 7.2 was released, then
you would
have to purchase 7.2, and then get the SMA for the next two KS
versions
after that. And, if it is a classic you're talking about, well,
not sure
what they would do about that, as one couldn't buy a SMA after KS
7.2 was
released, as KS 8.0 is going to be the last release for the
classics.

Subject: [Braillenote] just curious

Hello, List:

My subject line is the message.

On Thursday morning, I contacted Humanware to place an order for
7.2 and 8.0.

On Friday morning, I checked my balance, and nothing had been
taken out. I called Humanware again to find out if there was
difficulty with my debit card. I was informed that orders
weren't being taken at this time, because the old orders had to
be closed out. Since nothing is going through the mail these
days, what is meant by orders can't go out? We download these
things from the internet. There is nothing to be boxed, no
tracking number needs to be given.

If I were purchasing from any other store, I can tell you that I
would not be told that I couldn't place an order. People would
want my money immediately.
To that end, I'm wondering if anyone out here on the list can
contribute something to this situation that might clarify what's
going on here? Likewise, have any of you ever been told by
Humanware that you called in on the wrong day to pl an order for
a sma? Perhaps it's just that I'm not understanding what all
goes into fulfilling such an order, but it seems to me that do to
the fact that every thing was going to be handled electronically,
my account should have reflected the above referenced changes by
the next day at the latest. I'm just curious about all of this,
and I very much welcome anyone's comments. Isaih
