Only if you left it on. As long as you completely disable the
wifi card, even internal, it will draw little to no power, I
think. I don't know much about hardware, so feel free to yell at
me if I am off the mark completely here. A status would be nice
upon startup:
power level, ac adapter, bt status, wifi status. This way you
always know what device(s) are enabled and what your battery
level is.
Have a great day,
Alex

Hi there,
Yeah, a good point. However, it will create
a problem: if a WiFi card is inserted that
interferes with the components inside, then
it will create compatibility problems. Also,
WiFi components are power hungry, so the
battery life on the BrailleNote equipped with
WiFi inside would have shorter battery life.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Thoughts About
Wireless
Delay again!
Hello List:
I like the idea for the next upgrade to have
built in wireless.
I know that wireless is improving very
quickly but it would be
very handy. Pluss if the wireless did
improve couldn't you just
put a card in the BN that would work with the
improved wireless
even though the BN has it built in? If that
didn't make sense I
will try to explain if someone needs it.
Thanks
Ethan
