I understand that parts for our products are more expensive, but since agencies will pretty much pay anything since the money comes from tax dollars, I just think there should be some incentive in place for those who spend their own money. I have seen more equipment than I care to even think about bought with tax dollars that isn't even used, and a person who would use the equipment but who would have to buy it without assistance is hardly able to afford it for one thing, and is less likely to invest in it in the first place if a repair could cost a thousand dollars or more. There's no easy answer to this within my lifetime I'm sure.
