Hi Alex and list,
I have a theory: because Maestro is just an ordinary PDA with Maestro software on top, will it be possible to install both Maestro and Mobile Speak Pocket on the same machine? If my theory works, then it should give you both worlds: ease of use and mainstream compatibility. Ease of use can be achieved when using Maestro because of its simple and easy-to-use layout, and mainstream compatibility can be achieved when running MSP because you can run mainstream applications with it, thus giving you a bridge between both worlds.
Cheers,
Joseph

I hate to suggest something other than an mPower, but a Maestro
may fit your portability needs best here. You can use speech
and/or one of those little bluetooth Braille displays/keyboards.
If you do not need to print or emboss and you are not worried
about many external devices (SD, USB, or PCMCIA) than a PK will
work fine.

Have a great day,
Alex

I know someone on here has both a PK and a BrailleNote
Classic (which is the same form factor as the mPower)
and I was wondering - which would be better for a
teacher-to-be who wishes to keep an eye on their
students' records while in transit? I'm just worried
about accidentally bumping the mPower against
something (such as a pole on the public bus)
especially after hearing of those display problems and
i think the PK would have a far less chance of this.
Also what kind of pocket can the PK fit in? Can it fit
in a pants pocket or would that be a tight pinch?
