Ottawa Canada Dear Nikki:
Short answer: No, you cannot use the BrailleNote as a PC Braille display using the USB port. You can only do this using a serial port or Blue Tooth. To use Blue Tooth, you need a PC with built-in Blue Tooth or with a Blue Tooth dongle as it is called, plugged into the PC USB port. The corner computer store or Radio Shack, Circuit City etc probably have USB Blue Tooth dongles to sell you. Not sure what version of Jaws for Windows you are running, but if it is 5.1 or above, it supports the BrailleNote as a Braille display. Plead your case to Humanware Tech Support or Customer Service for USB support of Braille Terminal mode in a future KeySoft release. Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
