Hi Terry,
This installer will install the product key that will "unlock" the dictionary data. This installation file is useful if the key gets somehow corrupted and if you need to reinstall it.

Joseph;
Is this installer the same as the product key. If so, and the
person
has the product key on the machine, why cann't someone send David
the
dictionary files, without the product key file?

Hi Malaina,
A detailed inspection at my own Dictionary data told me the
following:
* The dictionary is actually stored in a folder. This folder can
be moved around from one location to another (even from one utit
to another).
* All you'll need is the Dictionary installer file, as this
"unlocks" the Dictionary data itself. In other words, Dictionary
is not a software, but a data. The installer will place a
registry string that tells KeySoft that the dictionary can be
used.
So in theory, all you need is the installer for the Dictionary
that is assigned to your BrailleNote's serial number. I have the
Dictionary data right now, but I cannot send it to you due to two
reasons: copyright and size. What I would advise, therefore to
the users of Concise Dictionary, is to have a copy of this folder
somewhere other than the card itself to maximize integrity and
security. I would also like to advise that you copy the
installer to somewhere other than the card to maximize integrity.
Cheers,
Joseph

If I am not mistaken the dictionary files once perchased only
work for the
spasific serial number. I don't know if anyone could send it to
you.

Hey List,
Last night, I was at the Hilton in Jackson, Mississippi, and had
taken out
my Braille Note to check my emails. Well, somehow I think that
the card
that holds my Concise dictionary and thesauraus slipped out of
my case
without me knowing. I believe that I can replace a majority of
my school
notes, so I'm not as worried about that as I am the dictionary.
So is
there a way to replace the dictionary files through Human Ware,
or is that
not covered in any of the contracts? If it is not, does anyone
have the
data files that that could be sent through skype or msn?

Thanks,

David
