Dear Terry,
You would plug the thumb drive into one of the usb ports on the Mpower. The
BN will list it as a "hard drive" or "hard disk." Then, you could copy
files from the CF card to the drive the same way you do when you copy files
to any drive.
I believe that another CompactFlash card with an adapter so you could plug
it into the side of the BN would be easier to use. But if you have a lot of
audio mp3 files, then the thumb drive might have more storage in it. I'm
not sure how much storage thumb drives hold.

Subject: [Braillenote] transfering files
I am thinking of using a thumb drive as my back up storage for things
like my dictionary and bible, that I do not want to lose. If my
original data is on a sd card or cf card, how can I transfer the data to
thumb drive. Also, what port does the thumb drive have to be plugged
into?
Is this a good idea, or would I be better off using another cf card?
Thanks for any advice.
My dictionary should be here soon and I do not want to lose it like an
other member did.
