Tom;
Can you explain a little better.  Those commands will only take you to
the bottom of the document and back to the top.  How will that give you
the page count?

Sure. The best way that I know is to move to the end of the document
using a 
456-chord, then do a 156-chord.  That'll give you a pretty good idea.
