Hi list, can someone out here provide a little more information as it pertains to the changes that are suppose to be coming to at and t that will make it difficult to send and receive email with the braillenote and voicenote machines? I must have missed the original discussion about this, so if anyone has something that they can share, please let me know. As always I thank my fellow listers in advance. Isaih

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Key Weird

Mike, I beg to differ with you. The FM radio is a luxury which
is not
needed in my opinion; and I am free to have that opinion thank
you very
much. My husband can't even pick up our community college radio
station and
we live extremely close to the campus and the transmittor for the
radio
station. What kind of reception is that from a luxury item? In
my opinion,
if you want a radio, take one with you. The games are also a
luxury as
well. There are more important features which are needed and
which havbe
been requested for years; and these include a TTY package and
HTML support
for Keymail.

There are things which need to be done with these devices and I
might as
well say my piece in this string. It sounds like there is better
support
needed for Keyword. While I have not had problems like what is
being
described, it sounds like this could be an issue. I should also
say that I
am not a technical expert eithre.

I will also say that an upgrade of the OS is becoming more
critical by the
day, given that there are some who will soon not be able to do
E-mail using
the BN due to its lack of support for SSL. This will make an
upgrade of the
OS critical, even before v 8 comes out. Classic users may
not like to
hear this; but if HW can find a way around making the last
upgrade to the
clasic units, they should do so as the OS upgrade is critical due
to the
changing environment in the world of E-mail. I need only mention
the
changes coming to AT&T accounts such as PacBell and SBC Global,
both of
which are part of AT&T. Also, an upgraded OS would support
higher versions
of Active Sync. I also know that PDF has been discussed and
don't know how
this would work, even with an upgraded OS.

Thanks for listening. Again these are just my opinions. I do
love my VN QT
but there are issues, especially when a closed system is used.
