I am with you, Kevin! I like the 3 hour method. Why go through all that time and trouble when it can be done so easily. I do not remember the 3 hour method ever mentioned in the manual or on list, before. Can we start the charge when it reaches critical or does it actually have to be down to zero. I would think, critical.

The reason I prefer the manual recalibration, where you run down your battery is you are still able to use your unit and will only be without it for about three hours. Both methods will not have any type of there being a possibility of data lost.
