Hi Donna: Assuming that you are going to be in a hotel, then here's what you can do: 1. Insert the wireless card into the Braille Note. 2. Press function-o (QT keyboard) or space with o )BT keyboard) to get to the options menu. Then, press "C" to get to the connectivity menu. 3. Press "W" for Wireless ethernet. The BN will say "Wireless Ethernet on? Currently no." Press Y to enable wireless ethernet. 4. You will be put into the Wireless Ethernet Menu. Press "S" to scan for available wireless networks. If any networks are in range, you will get a list of available networks. 5. Press space bar to move into the list of available connections. Pick the first one you come to and press enter on it. 6. You will be asked to enter a name for the connection, pick any name you want and press enter. 7. Next you come to SSID field. Leave it set as is and press enter. 8. Press escape (QT keyboard) or space with e (BT keyboard). You will be asked to save the record, press "y". You will have the wireless settings saved.
Two more things. Be aware that some public wi-fi networks like in hotels require you to register and accept an agreement not to use them for illegal purposes. Simply go to the main menu and press "I" for internet. Press enter when asked for a web address. The registration page for the network will come up and you follow the prompts there to register. Secondly, make sure the e-mail account you have set up for checking mail has Server Authentication set to yes. This option is right after the SMTP server entri in e-mail account setup.
