There is a work-around to do what you asked.
BT Commands
1. Go to the "from" field of the email address and press
Backspace K.
2. You will see "copied to clipboard."
3. Go to the address book, and write in the last and first name.
4. Go to the email address and press Backspace V. You will see
"clipboard pasted."
5. Since you need to get rid of the first and last name, press
Backspace with dots 25, to eliminate the first and last name.
Actually what you'll be doing is removing everything including
the "less-than" sign.
6. When you see the "less-than" sign, press dot 6 chord, and
press the Backspace key to remove the "less-than" sign.
7. Press dots 46 chord, to get to where it says blank. Press
Backspace to remove the "greater-than sign.
QT Commands
1. Go to the "from" field of the email address and press Ctrl C.
2. You will see "copied to clipboard."
3. Go to the address book, and write in the last and first name.
4. Go to the email address and press Ctrl V. You will see
"clipboard pasted."
5. Since you need to get rid of the first and last name, press
Ctrl K to eliminate the first and last name. Actually what
you'll be doing is removing everything including the "less-than"
sign.
6. When you see the "less-than" sign, press Read with Period and
press the Backspace key to remove the "less-than" sign.
7. Press Ctrl with Right Arrow to get to the end of the address,
and then press Backspace to remove the "greater-than" sign.

Hi Folks,
I would like to be able to take an address from the "From" field,
(and perhaps "Cc" maybe even "Bcc"), and put it into the address
list.
I of course can do this by carefully copying by memory what is in
the field, but would like a potentially more reliable way.
For example, can we copy to clipboard?
I have tryed but just get the error beep.
