Hi List,
I've put a copy of today's Chat recording on Blind Geek Zone's
FTP server. The site owner will post it to the actual website as
well. I'll post to you when it is up there.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Chat
Hi all,
Today's chat went well. Thank you to all that made it. To those
that did not, never fear! A second one is planned for next week
(I will put it in a separate post).
What did we do? Here is a quick summary of the features we think
should be implemented. This summary, along with a notification
of
next week's chat, is also going to several HW staff members so
maybe we can have a company presence next week.
1. Ability to monitor recording as it is happening with key
combos to adjust mic gain until it is desirable.
2. Percentage while moving/copying files and folders.
3. USB remote synth and braille display/keyboard, plus ability
to
use synth and terminal together.
4. Memo playback with enter-m should play the memo in the
background, not open the media player.
5. Update to CE 6, or at the least CE 5.
6. SDK for Keysoft (talked about by HW since 2001).
7. HTML email support.
8. Inform 7 support.
9. BT audio/object exchange.
10. Better MS Word file support.
11. FTP (for links and putting files on web servers).
12. PDF file support.
13. Support for .ogg audio files.
14. A better microphone, plus whatever software enhancements are
necessary, to improve recording quality.
15. A better BT stack so connections are not dropped and so the
BN handles devices better.
NOTE: First, I am sorry if I missed anything. Second, we are
aware that many of these changes require a CE upgrade.
Have a great day,
Alex
