Well on the whole, active stinc doesn't work on my voice note. The only time
I need it is when I use the gps because I find it more efficient simply to
flip flash cards in and out between pc and the Braille Note family of
products.

Hi Marianne and All,
First, sorry, but no work around here, as KeySync doesn't seem to work
well
for me, either. I'm thinking that it might for some folks; however, every
time I try to use it, I almost always seem to get lots of messages about
duplicates and conflicts, so have just pretty much stopped using the
program
for now.
If I decide I really want to synchronize several things, meaning if I've
gotten several things on my BN and don't want to copy them all over by
hand,
well, having backups and all just in case of problems, I go into Outlook
and
delete all my contacts and calendar entries, and then synchronize with the
BN and let them all be put back, as the first time of just putting the
things on the PC of course doesn't pose the problem of the duplicates and
conflicts. And, although it has been a bit of time since I've done this,
if
memory serves, to make sure that my info doesn't get taken off the BN, I
delete and then recreate the partnership before doing the synchronizing.
Now, when I first got my PK and used the version of KeySync with the 6.0
KeySoft on the PK, things seemed to work much better. In fact, if memory
serves, I only started having these problems with KeySoft 7.0 and its new
version of KeySync. Also, I have two phones running Windows Mobile 5.0,
and
I use ActiveSync to synchronize my contacts on the PC with both these
phones
with no problem at all, although I don't, for who knows what reason, want
to
keep my calendar on my phones. So, let's hope that KeySync really does
work
much better with KS 7.5.

Subject: [Braillenote] key sync query
Dear list members
I have been a braille note user since 2000. I have a 32 cell bnbt MPower
transplant.
Due to financial restraints, I was unable to update to 7.2 until
recently.
I looked forward to this upgrade as I was told many problems with key sync
would be resolved in this version. This has not been my experience!
When I spoke with a Human ware tech support person about the problem, I
was
told the issue is related to a key sync “bug” and that this would be
resolved in the next software release.
Do any of you currently use key sync to synchronize outlook contacts and
appointments? Is it working well for you? If you had problems but found a
work around, can you describe it?
Finally, I have read this list off and on for years. For the most part, I
remain a list lurker. That being said, I read and appreciate much of the
information that is shared so generously on this list.
With sincere thanks to those of you who are brave and tenacious
contributors!
Thank you
Mary Fairy
