Dear List,
Terry you made a point there. If this is so, then why hasn't
html email been implemented? Alix, Great idea. I would like it
if we could do all of that.
From,
Bobby

Maybe HW should do what Sendero did: they put together a huge
list of features that people had been requesting then got a bunch
of users together and gave the group a certain amount of money.
The group had to buy the features they wanted, meaning that the
most important would get bought first so enough money was left
over for the rest. Not all features made it, obviously, but it
seems like a great way to really hear what the users want in, in
this case, Keysoft.
Have a great day,
Alex

Hi Vicky and Others;
At convention, HW was talking about having a long list of
requests.
They were talking about needing to see how many wanted a feature
and put
things in sequence as to their importance. Part of our problem
might be
that they are not giving as much attention to the list and I am
hoping
more attention to testing before 7.5 comes out. We do not want
another
episode like, I think it was 7.2, with all the bugs in it. They
came
across to me as if they were studying our requests in detail.
Iff they
only have 10 people wanting a feature it surely will never get
answered,
but if they have a few hundred asking for the same feature it
will most
likely be answered if possible. I sure miss Jonothan and it
saddened me
when I heard him up at the podium talking about the Packmate. To
me, he
and Dean were the iron supports of this list. When there are
changes in
management, it has an effect on everyone. I love my m-power.

Hi All,
Well, grin, guess it doesn't hurt to dream about what we would
like our
BN
units to do in the future. However, kind of bringing things back
down
to
earth a bit, I can't help but mention what Maurice said in his
email to
the
list in May of this year. Remember, he was talking about the SSL
encryption
being in the next release, and then the improved Word support
being the
main
thrust of the next release after that one.
Also, while I'm writing, I can't help but wonder a bit just where
the BN
note takers will be headed in the next year or two. This is
especially
true
when we see HW putting more emphasis on its own Trekker GPS, not
to
mention
partnering with companies such as Code Factory to give folks
other more
portable
and main stream options for PDA type devices. Then, too, we have
the
Sendero GPS soon to be on the note takers distributed by GW
Micro. Of
course I have no way of
knowing; but, I can't help but wonder if perhaps we shouldn't be
taking
our
clues
as to where the BN in its current form is headed from how the
list
regarding this product is now handled by the HW staff?
Although I will still have another SMA count on my mPower, the
SMA for
my PK
is up after KS 7.5 is released, and I'm seriously considering
whether or
not
to purchase another one. I mean, in the past, we've kind of
always had
the
idea from HW that they were concerned about the BN family members
development, and that good things were still to come, so to
speak.
However,
in the last several months, well, for who knows what reason, I
just
haven't
gotten that impression anymore. Now, don't get me wrong, my PK
still
goes practically every where with me, but I also realize that
technology
is
something that is almost always going to change. And, although
it is
kind
of hard to believe, I've now had this PK for almost three years.
