Are USB network sticks supported on the Braillenote as well as wireless cards? I ask as I think my Ralink which was my first wireless device stopped flashing on my laptop so it may have developed a fault which stopped me from accessing wireless connections. I was told by someone who is fully Sighted that the card was faulty because it didn't light up so I replaced it with a wireless USB stick only recently. Wireless network sticks don't appear to be mentioned in the Braillenote User Guide. Also looking at the wireless chapter for the BN, could I possibly obtain any of my home wireless router settings through a wireless scan? I ask this because I know the Wep key, it is this SSID and a few of the middle and end settings which it states you need to get from your administrator although I do know things like my BT User name, password, email address and Pop information I am not clear about stuff like the server stuff and stuff like for exmaple tls as there seem to be extra options on the Braillenote which seem a bit unclear looking at creating a new configuration As far as I am aware some of these settings didn't appear to be mentioned when I tried setting up my connection to BT using the CD. There was a bit of a debate between dad and myself as to whether I actually needed the BT software that came with the Router they sent out with dad insisting I needed to go through the software that came with the Router on every machine I used in order to make it set up for wireless which seems a bit odd and when my card was working on my laptop, running a CD wasn't the way I got established when running Ubuntu when connecting to the wireless provider at Vox Bar in Huddersfield which is my nearest Linux support group. I think in fact the software installation is causing me a few problems because with the wired connection on my desktop I keep getting an error message about not being able to find such and such a file and it keeps asking me for my Broadband talk user information and passwords which although I have got I don't have that part of the software set up as dad couldn't find my Broadband Talk phone which my sister might have moved some place when she tried to set things up for me so dad couldn't find it so I keep having to press enter when the error comes up and ALT F4 to close the Broadband Talk dialogue after I loggin to Windows which isn't a problem with Ubuntu or windows as such as it doesn't appear to prevent me from connecting via the Ethanet port on the desktop so I do have a connection of sorts which is the wired connection which I am managing until I decide to migrate my desktop PC to Linux and also get the wireless stuff sorted out on whatever device I connect wireless ie my Laptop or my BN.
