Hi Terri; Another idea would be a monthly payment program so people could get a transplant. I never went for the Pk for the same reason. Jonathan said to me when I commented about it, that he never uses the embossing feature. I want the feature for when I ever get the equipment to be able to use it. Terry Powers

I prefer using the BN to the PC because Keysoft has a blind-friendly environment. One of the list members stated he believes Humanware will move away from the BrailleNote and move twoard PDA's and screen readers for them. In my opinion, this would be a grave error because the standard PDA is designed for the sighted user, not for the blind. Someone else on the list has accused those of us who own PC's for not having empathy for those who only own BrailleNotes. I can't say for the others, but I can speak for myself and I do indeed have empathy for the BN-only users. There have been occasions when I have not been able to use my PC and relied solely on the BN so I got a taste of what it would be like to depend solely on the BN. Although I found email and web browsing to be more cumbersome with the BN than with the PC, I was still grateful I could do both tasks with the BN. I also feel empathy for people who are BN classic-only users because the classic is being left behind. I think HumanWare should offer a price reduction in the Mpower transplant program so these people could affordably upgrade and get the full benefit of the new 7.5 Keysoft. They should also be provided with a loaner unit while the transplant is taking place. The discount should be based on the person's income status and the length of time he or she has been a HumanWare customer. This would ensure their loyalty. Of all the BN family, I think the BN PK has the least benefits for purchase because embossing and printing is impossible and people who are thinking of buying one should consider this before they do.
