Hello Mr. Stephen J. P.,
It sounds like it worked for you but what I'm trying to do myself is
get rid of the HTML junk around the message that I receive every Day!
It's Called (Saint Of The Day!)
It tells about a different saint every day but I haven't been able to
read any of it because of the HTML junk!
So That's Where I am with it!
("So Faith, Hope, LOVE Remain, These Three; But The Greatest Of These
Is LOVE!.")
May GOD BLESS You And Give You HIS PEACE!
From Your Friend, In OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, And OUR BLESSED
VIRGIN MOTHER Mary, Kristen

Subject: re: [Braillenote] File Types .HTML .BRF .PTF Question About
This?
Hi Kristen and list,
I have just received an email in html.
Tried the follewing and it seemed to help.
Went into the body of the email and got a shock--it was my first
html email on the BN.
Put a top of block marker at the first character of the message.
Went to the end of file.
Did copy block to clipboard.
(I didn't use a bottom of block marker, I very rarely seem to
need one so usually don't).
Created a file with the Wordprocessor with extention/type .txt.
(E.g., I called the file "a.txt").
Pasted the clipboard into that file and exited with <space>e.
Then use file manager and directory to find that file.
Then used <backspace>r for rename and named it "a.htm", it asked
if I was sure about changing the type so I said yes.
Then pressed enter on that file and it let me in as though it
were a normal local html file.
Then put a top of block marker at the first character of the
file, needed a bottom of block marker at the end of file, and
then copy block to clipboard.
Finally, created another file with Wordprocessor--(I tend to make
them as KeyWord type but I expect .txt would do)--and pasted the
clipboard into that file.
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] File Types .HTML .BRF .PTF Question About
This?

Dear Everyone,
This is Kristen.
I have a question concerning file types.
First: let me explain why I need this question answered.
Every day I receive an email that is in .HTML format.
It is Called: (Saint Of The Day.)
I would like to get rid of all of the HTML garbage that is around
the
message about the daily saint but I can not figure out how to do
this
short of going line by line and just deleting the garbage.
I know that .BRF makes a document a (PLAIN BRAILLE FILE.)
So would .PTF make a document a (PLAIN TEXT FILE?)
Or is there another way to go about this?
THANK You For All Of Your Help Concerning This Matter!
("So Faith, Hope, LOVE Remain, These Three; But The Greatest Of
These
Is LOVE!.")
May GOD BLESS You And Give You HIS PEACE!
From Your Friend, In OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, And OUR
BLESSED
VIRGIN MOTHER Mary, Kristen
