Hi Carol and Terri; I sure agree with both of you. I am 48 and it is hard enough for me to keep up with all the commands of the computer, m-power and now my KNFB reader. There is no way I am going to learn Braille al over again. As Carol said, this effort sure could be used for something more important. Terry Powers

I'd personally like to know HW's take on exactly why they introduced it at this time. Whilst I like to have good, readable Braille, it's not the time of life for me (or many others) to start learning a whole new code - and I am not going to! <Grins> Please, if there are any more chats with HW staff, could someone please ask them to explain their thinking here . . .. Surely resources could have been put into other areas, such as those which have been "promised" for a long time! Goodnight to all. I'm off this computer now until tomorrow! -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terri Pannett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "BrailleNote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 13, 2007 7:27 PM Subject: Fw: [Braillenote] Keysoft 7.5 for non-USA customers >I meant to send this message to the list as well as to Sharon because I >believe everyone should understand what this new code would mean to us if >it should be adopted. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Terri Pannett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Sharon S" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2007 7:16 PM > Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Keysoft 7.5 for non-USA customers > > >> Dear Sharon and All, >> >> I have looked at articles and features about this code and it's my >> understanding the code isn't at all like the Grade 2 English braille >> currently used and it isn't like the Nemeth Code for math nor is it like >> the computer braille code.
