Rhonda,

I've got it. Perhaps I misunderstood what you meant when I responded the first time around.

I had to save the file using the S-chord. I saved it as a .brf (which took out the code) and then was able to save it back as a Keyword type document.

What a pain that was! <Smiles>

Carol, one thing you can do is put your cursor on the first word. Block off the document, and create a new one in Grade Two. You'll have to change the file name a little bit so that you don't get the "file already exists" prompt. Then, erase the first one, and if you need to change the name of the second one back like you had the first one, you can.

Subject: [Braillenote] UNWANTED BRAILLE CODES SHOWING IN FILE

Hi all,

I've got a bit of a weird problem which I have seen and solved
once before
but can't remember just how I did it!

My files are normally entered in Grade 2 Braille and everything
is set for
this to be so. However, at the top of a file I've managed to
enter a code
representing English USA Grade 2. My file was already being
written in
Grade 2 and, despite everything, I cannot get rid of the code.

This is most annoying since this code is being transferred into
other files
with any information I take from that document to another,
regardless of
where the information is taken from the document.

The code does not remove with a backspace and I'm not sure what
else to try.

As it's a file I use all the time I hope we can get rid of this
little pest!

All suggestions most welcome, thanks!
