Hi Dianne;
Is this actually a single speaker?  Radio shack, when I went had the
same ones I got at walmart.  I also wrote to roger before going to
Walmart and never got a response.  Tell me a little more about what you
got.  I like what I have accept for the double chord getting in the way
and having to cary them around.

Try Roger Behm at Adaptive Technology Inc. for the 
Radio Shack speaker with a leather carrying case. The 
speaker is about 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches 
with volume control knob. The battery lasts quite some 
time, and, you can also add ac power to it. I use mine 
regularly, and it's a very nice little speaker!

How's your poodle and puppy doing, by the way? I'll be 
going back for another Leader Dog in about a week.
