I will be making some assumptions here. I am assuming that you want to
do this via Bluetooth.
First, have you paired your phone with the Braillenote? If not, this is
your first step. I don't have an e62, so I cannot give you the exact
steps to take there, but you must turn Bluetooth on first. You must
also turn Bluetooth on on your Braillenote as well.
Then, you must have both devices search for Bluetooth devices. On the
Braillenote press space with o (bt) or function with o (qt) and then
press c for connectivity menu. Next press b for Bluetooth. You will
see a prompt that says, Bluetooth on, currently either yes or no. If
Bluetooth is already on, than arrow down to search for Bluetooth
devices. If it is off, press y to turn it on. Then you can down arrow
to search for Bluetooth devices. Make certain that Bluetooth is on on
your phone! When you press enter on the Braillenote on the item "search
for Bluetooth devices" you'll need to be patient. It can take a couple
of minutes for the Braillenote to find your phone. Every Bluetooth
device has a name, and your phone will have one. There should be a way
for you to specify your phone's name in your Bluetooth settings on the
E62.
When your Braillenote finds your phone, your phone's name will be
displayed. Press enter. A list of supported services should appear.
Choose "modem". Press enter. You will be asked if you wish to pair and
activate this service. Of course, this is exactly what you want to do.
Press y.
Now, here comes the tricky part. You must type an authentication code
both on the Braillenote and, when you are asked, on your phone as well.
The Braillenote will asked you first. Type 0000 and press enter. When
your phone prompts you, type 0000 as well. The good thing about this,
is that you won't have to do this each time you want to use your cell
phone as a modem.
Your phone will most likely ask you if you want to accept connection
with the Braillenote automatically. This would simply mean that the two
devices would connect quite quickly when they were close to one another
and when Bluetooth is on on both devices.
Once you have established a pairing, now you must create a dial-up
configuration.
So, go to the option in your connectivity menu that says "create a new
dial-up connection".
The first thing you will be asked is: "configuration name?" I call mine
cingular, but the name is only a reference, so call it what you will.
Next, you will be asked "device to use" here type in your phone's name.
The next entry is phone number. Type *99# in other words asterisk, 9 9
and number sign.
At the service user name prompt, type cingular.
At the service password prompt, type cingular.
Now, there is only one other option you have to change. Down arrow till
you hear, "wait for dial tone?" change that to no.
Good luck.
