Ottawa Canada Dear William and list:
Wireless is an extra cost option for the BrailleNote and VoiceNote and is a CF card normally inserted into the CF card slot on the back of the unit. I suppose you could also insert the card into the PC/MCIA card slot on the right-hand side of the machine, with a PC/MCIA adapter shell. Ethernet is also an extra cost option and is also achieved by the use of a low power Ethernet CF card, generally in the CF card slot. The Mpower also accepts SD cards, presently of up to 4 GB capacity in the SD card slot on the back panel of the Mpower. The PK only has one CF card lot, no SD or PC/MCIA slots. You may purchase the required CF cards together with your BrailleNote 18 or 32, BT or QT keyboard, from Humanware all at the same time, and probably receive them all at the same time, or at a later date. The required cards are also available from your friendly local computer store or mail-order house and are often much cheaper than if bought from Humanware. Happy shopping. Oh the Concise Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus are provided on one CF card and it too may be used with an adapter shell in the PC/MCIA slot. This would permit you to have the use of the dictionary and thesaurus while online. A very handy thing if you encounter a word you aren't sure you know the meaning of, such as transmogrification or existentialism. Brian Brian K.
