Well, the struggles here continue with our BrailleNote classic under KeySoft 7.2 Build 47. After establishing fairly certainly that I may have a CF slot problem, I decided that I had better set up a dialup configuration using the internal modem because the wireless network connection seems to be becoming unreliable. I found that entering the phone number seemed to cause nothing to happen when using that connection. If I add ATDT*70 to start the dialing sequence and turn off call waiting, I did get a dial tone and I could also here the pulsing of the dial tone indicating call waiting had been turned off. However, I am not able to get the modem to dial a phone number after that as the dialtone ceases after a second or so. As a cross-check, I listened to this sequence on an extension phone, and after a second or so, the modem appears to hang up.
It seems odd to me that I would have to supply the ATDT string, and I'm not finding much in the user's manual about the "additional internal modem" string. Does anyone have experience with dialup that might make whatever I am doing incorrectly obvious? Thanks in Advance, Steve Jacobson ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
