The headphone thing is headphone-specific; some do the same for me while others are extremely loud.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Some observations

Hi all,
These are strictly not "bugs", but my observations,.
1. When I plug my headphones into my BrailleNote mPower BT 32, it
is
considerably quieter than when I use it on speakers. I guess this
is by
design, so that the speech etc won't be heard by anybody else in
your
vicinity. I used my own headphones for this observation.
2. When I plug my mPower in via USB, so that it's connected to
ActiveSync,
it doesn't go into hybernation. I left it at the main menu for
about 20
minutes, and it didn't switch itself off, like it usually does. I
pressed no
keys in the 20 minutes I left it. Again this is probably by
design so that
when I transfer files, for example, the mPower won't cut off and
therefore
cause the transfer to fail halfway through, for example.
Now here's somethig to smile about! Let's see if you can
duplicate this
please?
3. On the mPower, press i to open the internet browser. In the
"address?"
prompt, type mobile.google.com and press enter. Now select your
connection
configuration with space, and press enter. When the page has
loaded, see if
you can spot the following:
"Here are the services that are available in your country, using
your Psion
netbook pro:"
I thought, "how strange"! Google thinking that the mPower is the
equivalent
of the Psion Netbook Pro?
Sorry, just couldn't resist putting that! Enjoy!
