Hi List,
Td's chat went fine. There were eight people
who've joined for this chat. For those
who've missed it, don't worry, as a futchre
BrailleNote Chat has been set to take place
on Saturday, September 22, 2007. 0T time, HW
would release the patch for the bugs we've
discussed.
So, what we've discussed? We've discussed a
number of items, including
Braille Translation - HumanWare is currently
working to fix this bug as soon as posiible
with mothernership from Duxbury Systems.
Bootloader - you cannot press d to start
KeySoft in Bootloader. You'll need to either
press Reset or find Start KeySoft item to
start KeySoft.
Email problem - no information from
HumanWare, but some users experienced this
bug.
RFBD support - no comment, as no one received
UAK for the BrailleNote.
CE Upgrade - same as Second Chat with
everyone expressing urgency to upgrade to
take advantage of features such as larger
virtual memory.
KeyMail - when a user composes an email,
swithitches to another program and returns to
finish composing the email, the email in
question is lost.
KeyPlus - Data Entry - The shortcut to go to
Data Entry mode produces exception message.
The workaround is to go to Data Set Menu and
selecting Data Entry option.
JavaScript and KeyWeb his support for more
JavaScript event handlers.
And other questions and general comments.
The recording of this chat will be placed,
just like last two chats, on Blind Geek Zone
site.
On the next chat, I'm hoping to change the
location of the chat room to chat rooms
located at Accessible World (where as many
people can join us). Currently, the Blind
Cool Tech chat room which is used to host the
Chat sessions allows up to twenty five people
to join us at once. B if we move to
Accessible World, we can have unlimited
sitting capacity (meaning that as many people
can join the chat). I'll ask Accessible
World administrator to see if we can borrow
one of their rooms for Chat on September
22nd.
Cheers,
Joseph
