Ah, Joseph, no wonder it now works on my machine, because you weren't using
the Microsoft Bluetooth software, but the Widcomm one. Cheers! If I had
known that earlier, I would have had this problem solved by now. No worries;
I've now got the Widcomm software for my adaptor and it's all fine now.

Hi there,
You'll need to go to JAWS folder on your computer and edit a file called
jfw.nin. This is the configuration file for JAWS. Find this file. Fress
ENTER to open this ini file in Notepad. Go to Braille Display area and
when you land at and line that says "BraillePort equal (port)", change
port number to COM9. Press CTRL with s to save it, then restart JAWS.
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. I was using Witcom Bluetooth software when I've recorded that
podcast.

Subject: [Braillenote] Bluetooth settings
I have tried at least a dozen times to setup the BN as a display
with
JAWS. The BN finds my desktop computer which has a USB bluetooth
adapter. I can't seem to get through the authorization code.
Selecting
the option to skip that didn't work either. If I attempt to add
a device
through the PC, it finds the BN. Also, I could not figure out
how to
select a virtual com port setting that JAWS will like; it is com
9.
I have a Sony laptop, and the BN doesn't even discover it. Any
suggestions of where to find relevant documentation would be
appreciated. I found someone's pod cast, but it didn't help
because my
machine was not following along and asking the same questions.
I'm running Keysoft 7.2.
Thank you!
Kristyn
