Guys, please, do not reset the BrailleNote when data is sent or received. I
know we all make mistakes, but if you think about it, when using either
Braille Terminal or Remote Synthesizer data is being sent and received
transparently. So if you reset it some of that data would then get lost or
corrupted, causing major problems like the one you've described, or worst.
Thanks for your co-operations.

Subject: [Braillenote] No Braille Display on mPower BT
Hi list,
I have a very strange problem. I did what might perhaps be a stupid thing. I
reset the braille note while it was in the braille terminal for screen
reader mode. It now says, "the braille display is not operating." This
happened once before, except that time I don't think I was in the braille
terminal for screen reader application. I was able to fix it then by
pressing left most thumb key with Space, which set it to speech on request
if I remember correctly. The braille display immediately came back. It
doesn't work now, though. It just gives me two error beeps and the message,
"the braille display is not operating." I am trying to discharge it all the
way, then fully recharge it, to see if that makes a difference. I have also
tried reset with dots 4-5-6 held down, reset with dots 1-2-3 held down, as
well as the reset with reset and the record button held down, and nothing
seems to work. I also went to the excersise the braille display option, and
the spungyness of the cells goes away, but no braille appears on the
display. Also, under the options menu, I go to Braille on? Currently no. And
try to hit y for yes. The speech confirms, "Yes," but then when I hit enter,
I again receive
two error beeps and the message, "the braille display is not operating." I'm
using Keysoft version 7.2, build 47.
Any help appreciated,
James in TN
