Hello and welcome to the BN/VN world! congratulations!
7.2 is the latest stable version; 7.5 was released but had problems so it is temporarily out of action. You will not find a 5gb card in the new types (cf, sd, or usb). You will find from 512mb to 8gb, in increments of 2--512mb, 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, 8gb. You will probably want a cf (compactflash) or sd (secure digital) card. Cf cards are bigger but BN takes up to 8gb models. For size, imagine a card that fits into the long slot on the back of your unit between the slave USB port and the serial ports, and is a little less deep than it is wide, if that makes sense. SD cards come up to 32gb, but the bn will not take anything larger than 4gb. They are about the size of a postage stamp and go in the slot below the slave usb port on the back of your machine. USB drives are a different animal: they come in either flash (up to about 8gb I think) or hard drive (up to 500gb). The hard drives, especially the larger ones, need an external power suply while small ones (60gb and smaller normally) and all flash models need only the power from a usb port. If you buy one, test it first to ensure it will work properly with the mPower. Keep in mind that some drives require you to press the reset button with the drive in before they will work. hope this helps some. Oh, I would buy everything from http://www.newegg.com if I were you; their prices are unbeatable.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] new Voice note QT user

Hello all,

I've just received my first Humanware product, the Voice note QT
with software version 7.2

I was wondering if I should have received version 7.5 or is the
version I have the most up to date?

Also, I am to go out and buy a flash card. I believe a 5 GB card
should do me, for now, so I am wondering if there are certain card types I should gravitate towards? Any I should totally avoid?

Thanks and I look forward to all this list may offer,

Rick
