Terry, I'm not Vicky, but according to the manual when compatibility mode is
set to on, some of the keystrokes resemble that of the BrailleLyte. This is
so that users who have used the BrailleLyte can still feel comfortable when
using a BrailleNote for the first time as the keys will be familiar to them.
Hope that helps.

Vicky;
What is the compatability mode? What is it used for?

Hi James,

Glad you got your Braille display working again!

As for your block commands problem, sounds as if you have the
compatibility mode turned on. To turn it off, from the main menu, go to
utilities/miscellaneous options/compatibility mode and press the letter
f and then press enter to turn it off.

BT 32.

Hi all:

I now have a working braille display again. I did a service reset today
and
it came up working. So, now when I put the cursor at the beginning of a
block of text I want to work with, and press space with B to try to
access
the block commands menu, the BN instead deletes the character that the
cursor is on. Is there a way I can turn off this feature so that I can
access the block commands menu? Or is there some other way I can access
the
block commands menu?

Thanks in advance,

James in TN
