Hi, welcome to the list.
If you just want to get the job done, as you stated, a BrailleNote classic
would suffice. However, be prepared, as if you wish to transfer files,
either buy a CompactFlash or PC card, or connect your computer to the serial
port and connect to ActiveSync that way. If none of these options are
available, then you may be better off with either a PK or an mPower as they
both have USB client ports. The mPower has USB host ports too, however this
is only for the mPower and not for the PK. Am I correct on this? Anyway I
hope that helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] I'm Looking For A Braillenote

Hello

I came across this mailing list on-line and was hoping that someone here
could help me out.

I am looking to purchase a Braillenote, preferabley a reconditioned one. I
don't know an awful lot about these machines but know that it will help me
out in my day to day needs. At the moment, I am using a Perkins Brailler for
taking notes, a Braillenote is more compact and once I have Brailled the
necessary things out, I know the Braillenote would be great for me as I can
do the "Find Command" to find a certain thing rather than scanning line by
line through a Braille page. I don't really need an all singing, all dancing
machine, just one that works well and allows me to take notes and connect to
the PC to transfer files.

Could someone let me know how much a basic Braillenote is to buy and if
there's anyone out there who knows of anyone wanting to sell their's?

Your help would be most grateful.

Many Thanks
