Hi Nicole,
Does using any of the available reading modes help to screen out
some of these format markers?
I can't tell, because I have never received any Word document
with format markers in.
Is there any pattern to what seems to make work get lost?

Does 7.5 still have those format markers that come from a word
file? If so, humanware should figure out some way to get rid of
them. Saving a file as a .brf file is not always a good idea
because you lose formatting that you want to keep. Those format
markers have made me lose work on numerous occasions, and someday
it's going to be something that I'm not allowed to go back and
fix.
