Beginning October 1, 2007, all US students are eligible for free
memberships to BOOKSHARE. The prerequisites for joining under
sponsorship of the new grant haven't been posted yet; but I'm
quite sure they will be in the near future. The link to watch

and the process took about three weeks when I joined several
years ago.
