Bob wanted me to forward this. It details how to get the archives of this list onto your bn/vn.

Have a great day,

Dear Alex,
I found it, and I have found a way to save it. Here are the
steps,
1. Go to the archives and click on one of the sizes. for
example: zipp'd text 82 kb.
2. You will be taken to a page with all the messages on it.
3. Do space with S. or controll S on a Qt.
3. You will be prompted for the folder.
4. Select the folder you wish to save the file in.
5. You will then be prompted for a filename. Type the filename
and press enter.
Could you forward this to the list so that everyone knows about
it?

I had no problems; no download but I got to a page with all the
messages on it.  Try a reset and then go to the page again;
sometimes this helps.

Have a great day,
Alex

Dear Alex,
I have just discovered that it won't even take me to the download
it will just take me to a blank page. Go to the archives and
click on one of the zip'd text sizes and tell me what it does.

If you rename a.zip file with a .bks extention and unpack it like
a book (pressing enter at the password prompt) it will unzip.

Have a great day,
Alex

BrailleNotecompatibility with archives

Dear List but mainly hw staff,
I have a suggestian for your BrailleNote Archives. The
BrailleNote users should have the option to download the files
off the internet for your archives, but I noticed that all the
files are zipped text which is not compatible with the
BrailleNote and this is the BrailleNote archives. I don't mind
viewing the archives on the web, but it would be nice to have the
option of downloading them onto the BrailleNote. I think that
the file formats should be changed to something like ascii text
so that we at least can download and read the archives from our
BrailleNotes and not have to have an internet connection wherever
you go.
