I am so distressed! I have a Braille Note classic, running version 6.2 of the software. Yesterday, I attempted to download a fair amount of email--can't remember how many messages were there--and, I had a number of messages that were important to me stored in my email folders. The Braille Note locked up along the way and I had to exit the email program. This morning, when I turned the Braille Note on, all of my old messages were gone and I kept getting this message that said "operation completed successfully" even when I wasn't trying to do anything. I have tried both a cold reset and the reset button. Oh, and my user's manual will not work. I find a file called manual but, when I press enter on it or go to it via options, and I choose either table of contents or index, I get a message that says "cannot find ... Today, I hate my Braille Note. I keep hoping someone knows a secret to attempt to get my email back--the last ones from my mom before she died, and some others that were important. I am planning to send the Braille Note in for the upgrade to empower in a few days and knew I needed to do a backup which I had not yet done. Isn't there some way to recapture my messages? I am sure I can reload the manual if I reload the 6.2 software. I just can't tell you now upset I am. Can anyone suggest anything.
