And, if this article that was forwarded to the list a few weeks ago is true
regarding HW's focus for the future,
it can't help but make one wonder about the plans for the BN family, anyway.
I'll forward the link, and a shortened version of that link again here.
Guess I'm thinking more about this right now, as both my mPower and PK
service contracts are up in November, and I'm trying to decide whether to
pay the $500 and $400 respectively to renew, or whether I'm going to
consider selling at least one of my BN products, likely the mPower, to
purchase another Braille display and/or a competitive product. But, I'm
still thinking on that. Anyway, here are the links I mentioned:

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Linux vs. Windows CE

Hi folks,
Humanware never wanted to release an sdk, never wanted to open the bn
up to third party applications. This is, at least, the way it looks as
a user. I think that linux does not have the wide commercial support
for the very reason you state that it is open. Capitalists don't like
anything to be open because then some one else can potentually make
money.

I apreciate Humanware, but this tightfisted handeling of development
for the bn will probably keep the bn from reaching its full potentual
for a long time.
