Rusty,

As long as the unit doesn't crash or a RESET is required while a document is
open then there shouldn't be any reason data isn't being saved. Any of the
following should and will save the modifications made to a document: SPACE
with 1-2-3-4-5-6, SPACE with E, SPACE with Z, and SPACE with S. I personally
would make sure the you have exitted the document completely before
switching the unit OFF or switching to another application. I just wanted to
clarify where you would want to use the SPACE with S command, it would be
used if you are wanting to save what you are working on and want to continue
to work on the document without having to exit or return to the Main Menu.

I was able to conclude that you were using a BT keyboard, but not sure if
the type nor KeySoft version or if you were saving to the Flash Disk or
something else. So, can you answer the three below questions?
1. What type? (PK, mPower, or Classic)
2. What KeySoft version? (KeySoft 7.5. build 20)
3. Are you saving to the Flash Disk or another storage medium?

Thanks,

Kevin

Subject: [Braillenote] BN mPower is losing data

Hi folks. I am noticing data missing from files I edit in my bn.
I have a file where I keep notes on various things. When I want to take down
a quick note, I open this file and write it down. I generally space with for
to get out of it. Often I will switch aps to the net or something. Sometimes
I just shut the bn down.
I am finding that sometimes the bn does not save what I've added to this,
and other files.
Is there any situation under which the bn does not automatically save data?
I know people will tell me to save with space with s. I was under the
impression that the bn saves automatically.
Any thoughts?
Rusty
