Tanya, I am going to bet the Micro Drive was a 5 volt card, which the mPowers cannot handle. The reason for this is because with the addition of Bluetooth, FM Radio, and other such add-ons for the mPower, there had to be a cut somewhere to allow for the mPowers to have a reasonable battery life. The mPowers will accept 3.3 volt cards, which now are in capacity of 16GB. These cards are in the form of a CompactFlash that will fit in the back of the mPower or in the side with a PC card adaptor.
The volts refer to how much power is required to run the cards. Just FYI, 16GB CompactFlash cards are running for just over $100. I can't wait for a firmware upgrade to the SD Card slot to accept HCSD cards as 16GB HCSD cards are now out on the market, which the Victor Reader Stream will accept.
